Prices and Application

The length of the CHP Program is up to you. The minimum is 1 week but we recommend to plan your placement for 2 to 4 weeks at least. We also organize 3 months placements and rotations. It is up to you if you want to stay at one department for several weeks or want to experience every week another one. Simply let us now via the CHP System what are your preferences.  More weeks mean more visited departments, more study materials, extended knowledge of the hospital and specialty routines, and the maximum benefit of your stay with us. Last but not least, you have a higher chance to receive the positive evaluation from various mentors which is very helpful when applying to universities and for future employers.

Plan and pay for your Placement with flexibility and without hidden costs

We understand that planning a placement one year ahead without any worries is no longer possible these days. You do not need to worry while planning your Placement with us. After your application's approval and Administration Fee's payment, we will ask you to pay the final amount of the total price. 

The greater flexibility at our side allows us to reschedule your Placement if the COVID-19 Pandemic negatively influences it. As we run all year long, it gives you a better chance to re-plan the Placement according to your wishes and time preferences. And that is done free of charge.

100% refund if your Placement is canceled due to COVID-19

If we cannot reschedule your Placement that was canceled by you or by us due to COVID-19 in the upcoming 12 months, we refund you 100%, including the Administration Fee. You can check the Contractual Terms and Conditions that we have amended accordingly.

One of the biggest advantages of the CHP Program is that we go for an individual approach in shadowing, so we never have more than 15 students in the house at a time. Given to the COVID-19 mutations, we request all of our students to be fully vaccinated according to the current standars with boosters included and have a negative PCR testbefore entering to the CHP Program. With that in mind and all the extra measures, including temperature checks, we created a COVID-19 resilient placement where you can feel secure. As we organize the CHP Program in the largest and modern hospital in the country, we can take care of you if there any troubles occur, and a CHP Team member is always there for you to have your back. 

What we will require for your placement in the clinical environment is your proof of full COVID-19 vaccination and the negative PCR test. You shall be aware of the possibility to undergo a new PCR test if the circumstances will require it.

Support 24/7 and individual shadowing in the hospital

Our office is based directly in the hospital, where we are in direct contact with our students daily. No matter what the problem is, we are always there for you. You do not have to be afraid of big groups of unknown students as that is not how we organize the CHP Program.

1. Travel measures - What to check before traveling to Prague

COVID Testing and COVID-19 vaccine inlcuding booster shots are required in international travels, so please check all related information once making your travel plans. We request our students to be fully and up to date vaccinated as requested by the EU standards and to have negative PCR test done before their travels to Prague.

2. Travel Insurance

Every CHP Program student must arrange his travel insurance that is not something that you should not omit. It is up to you to find the right travel insurance that meets your needs and also covers COVID-19 care. Our partner GoAbroad.com has a great overview of the insurance possibilities and providers. 

3. Questions

If you have found all the information you wanted to know about the Departments and Mentoring Teams, the only thing you need to do is to APPLY NOW! The Application Form is simple to fill in! Just think through your motivation as that is crucial to us once evaluating several applicatns at a time. Apart from your contact details, you are asked to choose your desired specialty, date of arrival and length of your participation in the CHP Program (in weeks). That's it!

After you apply, you obtain a login to the CHP System, with limited free access that will help you through the registration process. Afterwards, we check your preferences and the availability of placements, and you are asked to pay the Administration Fee (290 GBP/430 USD or 395 EUR). The Administration Fee is non-refundable (apart from the COVID-19 Policy specifics) as it includes administrative costs to process your application and personal data. 

To have your placement booked and guaranteed, you are asked to pay the Final Payment of the total price according to the number of weeks you apply for. Please, check the Final Payment costs below. All prices are listed including the 21% VAT. The price includes specialty shadowing, tutorials, and excursions, specialty study materials, accommodation and food, your emergency health insurance coverage from the arrival until your departure, our full support and CHP Program Certificate that confirms your attendance, hours and activities you participate in. We inform you about all of the payment details and always confirm when the payments have been received.

We will process your application as soon as possible, and ensure that the departments you are interested in are currently available for when you plan to arrive. If for some reason your preferred departments are already booked, we will contact you to suggest alternative departments or dates of arrival.

How far in advance should I apply?

There are several steps in the application process. After the initial application, you will need to visit your physician in order to receive clearance to travel, as well as obtain Traveler's Insurance. Due to the limited space in our program, and our desire to have a very small ratio of students to mentors, some placements are filled far in advance. Because of this, we suggest that you begin the application process at least three months in advance, but the sooner you apply, the greater chance of being placed in the department you are most interested in. If for some reason you are interested in starting the application process within this three months window, please contact us directly and we will do everything we can to expedite your application.

All three of my mentors, Dr. Bartošova, Dr. Vrabcova and Dr. Pavličkova were giving their best to teach me and show me as much as possible in just one week. The amount of time which they devote to me was above my expectations and they truly had treated me as their fellow colleague. While being more than professional, they had also created warm and friendly teaching atmosphere and were always happy to answer my questions (which I had a lot :-)).
